Each year, the Society organises a programme of events including a one-day international colloquium on recent archaeological fieldwork in Sudan. Papers are delivered on work undertaken in Sudan (usually) over the previous winter, along with others of a more general nature.

The 2024 colloquium will be held on Saturday 25 May in the Egypt Centre in Swansea University, Swansea. The colloquium will also feature a showcase of the Sudanese material in the collection, and will be followed by a drinks reception.
