Each year, the Society organises a programme of events including a one-day international colloquium on recent archaeological fieldwork in Sudan. Papers are delivered on work undertaken in Sudan (usually) over the previous winter, along with others of a more general nature.

SUDAN : PAST AND PRESENT

The 2025 colloquium will be a hybrid event, held on Saturday 17 May : 10am – 5.30pm BST
The in-person event will be held at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, University of Cambridge, followed by a drinks reception.
